Eco-friendly parking at ALDI
TASK
The ALDI shop chain runs a ‘zero waste’ campaign on a large scale, so the shop environment also required the use of environmentally friendly materials.
SOLUTION
geoSYSTEM G4 grids with a strength of 250 tonnes/sqm were laid on a substructure made of water-permeable layers. The entire car park was backfilled with aggregate and the lines separating the parking spaces were separated by white markers.
RESULT
The parking spaces and bicycle stands were made of 100% recycled grids. Nearly 800 sqm of water-permeable paving was created, which does not disrupt the natural water cycle.
