Ecological bus parking
Task
In the years 2011-2013, the construction of the first stage of the University Sports Center at the Nicolaus Copernicus University (UMK) took place. One of the key challenges was to provide adequate parking space for buses near the facility.
Solution
The decision to use the geoSYSTEM G4 grid proved to be a crucial step in designing an eco-friendly bus parking area. This grid, known for its excellent durability, was the perfect choice. After installing the grid, the area was seeded with grass, which blends beautifully with the modern architecture of the university campus.
Result
The geoSYSTEM G4 grids met expectations in terms of the stability of parking spaces while also being permeable to water. This solution not only reinforced the parking areas but also contributed to natural drainage of the area, minimizing the negative impact on the environment. Now the parking area serves groups coming to the sports center, providing them with convenience while also taking care of ecology.
