Protection of Historic Cobblestones
Task
During the renovation of the Wagner House in Riga, it was necessary to preserve the authenticity of the historic area of the Old Pavement, known as “Vecrīga.”
Solution
To protect the pavement, modern RS200 XL plates were used, characterized by a load-bearing capacity of 50 tons/m². The plates, measuring 2.4 x 1.2 meters, allowed for quick coverage of large areas, and their light weight of 49 kg enabled transportation and installation without the need for heavy equipment, which was particularly important in the narrow streets.
Result
Thanks to the use of RS200 XL plates, the historic area of the Old Pavement was effectively protected, preserving its authenticity while allowing for efficient renovation in the narrow, hard-to-reach streets of Riga.
