Sustainable Fire Access Lane
TASK
The architects of a newly built housing estate around Solacki park in Poznan have designed a fire lane, which was to be made of natural materials.
SOLUTION
In order to retain natural character of the surrounding area the fire lane was made of geoSYSTEM ecogrid, which was filled with soil and grassed.
RESULT
A one-hundred percent water permeable fire lane has been created and majority of its surface has remained biologically active.
