Temporary road for construction
Task During the construction of a bypass, it was necessary to reinforce a section of road to serve as a route for heavy construction equipment, including a crane transporting bridge components. The solution needed to ensure quick installation and sufficient durability for multiple uses. Solution Lightweight ROAD SYSTEM200 XL road plates were used to construct the temporary road. The process included: – Laying geotextile fabric to strengthen the subgrade and distribute loads evenly. – Marking the road alignment with a string for precise plate placement. – Assembling the lightweight plates, which can be easily carried by two people. – Connecting the plates with flat bar connectors and securing them with bolts for stability. Result Within just 4 hours, 100 meters of temporary road were constructed, enabling the safe passage of a heavy crane carrying bridge components.
